Your account with Story Pro is completely free, just enter an email and a password on the sign-up page which you can access here.
This takes you to the accounts management screen that gives you an overview of all your sub-accounts and platforms.
You can manage your Story Pro account details via the dropdown menu at the top-right.
From this area, you can reset your Story Pro password.
Within your Story Pro account, you may want to create multiple sub-accounts, for example, if you are an agency and you would like to create different accounts for different clients. The first time you create a platform (after choosing a plan and entering your payment details), we will ask you to set a new password for the account managing that platform.
Now you have your Story Pro login for your Story Pro account, and you have your account admin login for accessing and editing your platform backend.
To create new sub-accounts, just click the button Add New Account.
Give the new account a name and from there, you will be able to create a new platform for that account.
Within each account, you can create multiple platforms. From the accounts page, you will see each of your accounts and the associated platforms listed below.
Click the account name to access the platform management screen. You will see the status of any existing platforms (whether they are online or not).
Click the Settings button to access the settings page, where you can update the account name.
Click the Platform name to access the platform welcome screen where you can also access domain, integration and subscription settings.
The welcome screen has links to the front end and back end of your platform: Go to your live platform to see how it looks, or access the admin platform to edit the look and feel or add content.
When you create your Story Pro website, we will assign you a standard domain name e.g. storypro-123456-herokuapp.com. However, you may want to change it to something more personal or unique.
Custom domain names can be purchased at different domain providers online. For example, GoDaddy.
If you have already purchased a url that you would like to connect, you can do that from your main account, on the Domain tab.
Click Configure to add the domain details.
The pop-up window will ask you to input your domain name. Enter the name of your domain without the https://www. and click Save.
Now, on the domain tab, you can find your DNS Target.
Copy this and go to your DNS provider account; GoDaddy or whoever you bought your domain from. Go to the domain management area and look for your DNS settings. On the Records list, click Add.
Select CNAME from the dropdown and paste the DNS target you copied earlier into the Points to field. The host should be the site domain root.
It might take up to 48 hours for this step to be applied fully by your domain provider. During this time you may not be able to see your live site or it may appear without the latest changes.
Once your site is connected, you will see the Domain Status updated in the Domain tab on your account management screen from Pending to Active.
This is where you can add different integrations for your platform. Depending on which subscription you got, you will have access to different integrations. We may add new integrations over time, so check this list to see the latest options and how they might be useful.
This is where you can see the details of your Story Pro subscription. Click Update to change your payment details or your plan.
To cancel your plan, click on the dropdown menu and click Cancel Subscription.
A pop-up window will ask you for confirmation. Click Cancel Subscription to confirm.
To upgrade, click the big green Change Plan button. Next, select either monthly or annual billing and then click Select Plan for the plan you would like to change to. To see more details about the different plans, visit our Pricing page.
To update your billing details, just click Update next to your card details. Enter the new card details and click Update Card.
